Intro to web page mark up: HTML, (x)HTML and CSS
Overview
This course is designed for those with no previous web experience who want a comprehensive grasp of building web sites using the languages of the web. You will gain the knowledge and confidence to author and edit web pages using XHTML and HTML, and will gain an overview of using CSS for design.
The course explores planning a website, browser issues, symantic mark up, creating hyperlinks tables and forms, some web design and working with graphics. No matter what your circumstance or previous experience this course will give you the skills and confidence to author and publish robust web pages and sites.
The course is available on both Mac and PC systems.
Required skills and experience.
- A working knowledge of either the Windows or Mac operating systems.
- How to create and manage files and folders.
- Some experience of using web sites.
- The ability to use at least one mainstream web browser.
